About the Artist

Kate Pitner is inspired by the everyday acts of an everyday home, and by the simple joys in life. It is this ideal that the foundation of Kate Pitner Designs is based. Inspiration is everywhere for Kate, and she loves that she can find new areas of interest to focus on every day. Kate specializes in whimsical themes and lay-outs. Her designs are adaptable to any product type; from stand alone images to repeat patterns. Kate renders her art both by hand and digitally, and works in Adobe Photoshop® for the final lay-outs, making her art production-ready and easy for manufacturers to work with.

Kate has an ‘affection for confections’ and sweet treats, and she always loves a good Peace sign. From strawberries to snowmen, roses to wine, and from backyards to the tropics, Kate’s artwork is born with a story to tell.

Kate lives in beautiful sunny Southern California with her husband and two sons. The beach and the mountains are only a short drive away, and she loves that she can escape to both on a moments notice. Kate’s studio is filled with knick-knacks to inspire and her collection of old children’s books. Pinned to the walls are many notes and pieces of art given to her by her art students and her boys. In the corner of Kate’s office sits an ukulele that one day she will get back to playing, and on the floor lies a lazy old dog named Shamus O’Malley who sleeps more than he’s awake.
